Weather Maspalomas

Arguineguin is an idyllic fishing village on the south (west) coast of the paradise island, Gran Canaria.

Here you will find Spaniards and non-residents living side by side and the diversity of properties is large; townhouses, villas, apartments etc. The property construction ranges from the coastal zone to the mountains which provides perfect terrain for the cheerful mountain wanderer. Once you walk in the mountains, you are far away from the centric mass tourism.

In Arguineguín downtown you can stroll along the city beach while breathing in the lovely sea breeze. Enjoy a good meal at one of the many sidewalk restaurants offering delicious temptations. Feel the magic atmosphere of the small streets that wind their way around the cozy small blocks in the centre. This Canarian perl defines “life quality”…

The village is full of sun loving Europeans during the winter season.

In the street next to the sea you will find the popular "market place" where retailers set up their stalls every Tuesday. The village gets transformed into a small market town where you can make bargains on anything from Canarian specialties to distinctive antiques.

Arguineguín can offer everything you might need: shops, cafés, restaurants, medical centres, pharmacy, The Norwegian Seamen's Church etc.

Patalavaca is a village, with its own beach, in the southwest of Gran Canaria. It is located between Arguineguín and Anfi del Mar. At the waterfront you will find taller hotels, while further up the valley you can see that the construction is characterized by smaller "houses", apartment complexes and duplexes. Many of the properties in the area have amazing sea views.

It is close to restaurants, grocery stores and the centre of the fishing village of Arguineguín.

Walking distance from Patalavaca to the Norwegian school and the Norwegian health centre Valle Marina, which is owned and run by the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association.

The Anfi del Mar beach, with imported white sand from the Caribbean, is also within walking distance.

The detached house is very attractively located in the eastern part of Calle Nayra, Arguineguín. The plot surrounds the entire house. Very good sunny conditions. Sea view from the balcony.

Only 10 - 15 minutes walk to the center of the fishing village. Here you can find, among other things, grocery chains, all kinds of shops, restaurants, cafés, medical centres, pharmacies, schools, townhall buildings etc. Several beautiful beaches within a short walking distance; including the newly renovated beach at the market square, the city beach, the beach in front of the la Lajilla building which was renovated a few years ago, Patalavaca and Anfi del Mar with its white, Caribbean-inspired shell sand. The latter can be reached on foot within about half an hour. For those who like to go for walks in the mountains, there are a number of mountain paths nearby with easy access. Particularly good location in a peaceful, residential area.

Free parking just outside the property (although also parking on the plot). Little traffic, one-way street.

Simple stair access to the outdoor area through a solid entrance door from the street level or through the car gate a few meters away. Door and gate in white aluminium. From the car park there are only 2 steps up to the garden and terrace area. Space enough to install a wheelchair ramp. Most of the outdoor area that surrounds the home is tiled. However, there is a large flower bed in front towards the street, along one side and at the back of the house with exotic plants and trees that create a cozy atmosphere. Very well suited for having a dog. Irrigation system. In the rear part, the owners have set up a pleasant, roofed dining area with wooden tables and benches. Gutter. Refrigerator outside. It is a quiet and private area that has also been used as an office. Parts of the terrace in front of the front living room also have a roof, as well as an awning fabric for extra sun protection. A dining table with 6 comfortable garden chairs is placed here so that you can get some shade while enjoying an excellent outdoor meal. Beautiful, constructed arches have been set up at the end of the terrace, which gives a stately feeling. For those who want additional awning solutions, these can be used as a frame. Sliding glass doors with an aluminum marker in the direction of the main entrance. Pretty outdoor lighting on the terrace when darkness falls. Electrical outlet. Storage room with shelves under the stairs to the second floor. Very good sunny conditions.

Access to the house itself both through the terrace doors at the front and the entrance door at the side.

You enter the very spacious living room directly from both entrances. Large window surfaces allow a lot of light into the home. Lovely view of the garden. The living room is furnished with 2 blue sofas, sofa table, coffee table and a section.

The kitchen is semi-separated from the living room through a beautiful arch and is also very bright with two windows. It has upper and lower closets in solid wood and offers the following white goods: Steel-coloured fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and oven. Induction hob with 4 plates. Exhaust fan. Worktop and plinth in black and white granite. Water filter.

Laundry room behind the kitchen with washing machine, sink and various storage and shelving solutions. Wall-hung closets. Hot water tank. Ironing board. Small window in the upper part. From the laundry room you come straight out into the back garden. Easy access to the kitchen from here. Very practical when you have guests over for dinner.

The main floor otherwise has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with access from the bedroom itself. The largest bedroom is furnished with two comfortable beds that have been put together, two bedside tables, off-white wardrobes along the entire wall, chest of drawers, office desk and shelving solutions. Blinds for the windows. The attached bathroom is tiled with blue wall tiles in a marble pattern. Beige floor tiles as elsewhere in the home. Double sink with white, marbled worktop. Mirror along the entire wall. Window for extra ventilation. Good storage space under the sinks. WC-shower. Shower corner. White closet for towels etc.

The second bedroom faces the garden at the front and has two stately, arched windows. Blinds. The room is furnished with a single bed, guest bed, office desk with chair, wardrobe and shelf.

Bathroom in the hallway with easy access both for those who use the last mentioned bedroom and for guests in general. The bathroom is tiled with shades of beige/grey/white on the walls. Bathtub. Mirror over the sink. Window. Chest of drawers in the hallway outside. If someone wants to remove the wall between the living room and the hallway to get an even more open solution, this can easily be done as there is no supporting structure here.

FIRST FLOOR has stair access from the outside by the driveway. This means that even though the house is legally registered as 1 unit, the home is de facto divided into 2 complete, separate housing units. This is a perfect solution when you have guests visiting and you want extra privacy or if you want to rent out. The owners have rented out the upper floor and they have not had privacy issues regarding the tenants or vice versa.

Nicely decorated staircase with flower pots and figures up to the top floor. Practical closet by the entrance area which is covered with a roof. Outdoor lights.

Bright hallway with the bedroom on the right. This is furnished with a double bed, 2 bedside tables and wardrobes with sliding doors along the entire wall. Wall-mounted flat screen TV. Window.

The kitchen is on the left in the hallway and is naturally separated from the living room in a kitchenette. The kitchen has both upper and lower closets of wood and the following white goods purchased in December 2020 are included in the purchase: Washing machine, vitroceramic hob with 3 plates, extractor fan, oven and a fridge with freezer compartment, also of recent date. White shelf. Dining table with chairs in wooden material that matches the kitchen decor. 2 large windows facing the terrace.

Practical storage with various shelf solutions. Hot water tank. Microwave. Small window. Shelf above the door for additional storage space.

The bathroom is located right next to the storage room. This is tiled in the same shades as the guest bathroom downstairs. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, raindance shower head, WC shower, mirror above the sink and various closets/commodes. 2 nicely curved windows in the same style as the rest of the house.

The beautiful living room has a contrasting wall in gray and is furnished with a blue sofa chaise longue, white section with display closet, sofa and relief table and TV furniture with a shelf above. Wall-mounted flat screen here as well. A lot of light enters the everyday room both through the windows in the kitchen and the terrace doors. The latter takes you out to the spacious, elongated terrace with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, the mountains and the pretty buildings in the area. Sun from the morning and well into the afternoon. This outdoor area is furnished with a round table with associated chairs, 2 sunbeds and a small table. Lots of floor space. A large closet has been set up at the end for extra storage space/tool shed. Beautiful, white porch columns that create a majestic look. Previous tenants have attached a green cover to the railing for extra privacy. This can of course be removed or replaced.
