PURCHASE EXPENSES FOR “USED PROPERTIES”/RESALES
- Transfer tax to the state: 6,5 % of the purchase price
- Approx. 800 - 2000 euros in notary fees
- Approx. 600 – 1500 euros in Land registry fees
- Legal fees – depending on the purchase price (Decided by the Spanish Lawyers Chamber).
TOTAL ACQUISITION COSTS: APPROX. 8 – 10% OF THE PURCHASE PRICE (the higher the price, the lower the percentage)
If one should decide to take a mortgage in a Spanish bank, the purchase costs rise slightly due to double registration at the notary/registry, the bank's own fees, mandatory insurances etc. The Bank is required to disclose all financial obligations.

(includes all first time transfers, even if the property previously has been used).
- VAT /I.G.I.C: 7 %
- Stamp Duty to the state: 1%
- Approximately 800-2000 euros in notary fees
- Approximately 600-1500 euros in register fees
